Russ Thompson has been working in the field of machine learning since 2012. Russ began their career as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Texas A&M University in 2012, followed by a Postdoctoral Fellow in Quantitative Geometry at the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute in 2011. In 2013, they joined CrowdFlower as a Data Scientist and Senior Technical Analyst. In 2014, they moved to Alexa Internet as a Senior Research Scientist. Currently, they are a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at SafeGraph.
Russ Thompson attended NCSSM from 1999 to 2001, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 2001 to 2005, and Cornell University from 2005 to 2011, where they earned a Ph.D in Mathematics.
