Alan Hansen

Alan Hansen is an accomplished geologist with extensive experience in both conventional and unconventional resource evaluation and management. Currently serving as a Senior Staff Geologist on the Onshore Northern Territory Subsurface Team at Santos Ltd since March 2013, Alan specializes in the Amadeus Basin and Onshore Shales in the McArthur and South Nicholson Basins. Previous roles include Senior Exploration Geologist focusing on the Cooper Basin, project leadership in the Bowen Basin Tight Gas Project, and significant contributions to reservoir management and development geology. Prior to Santos Ltd, Alan worked at Resolve Geo Pty Ltd as a Resource Geologist, evaluating plays across Australia, Colombia, and Russia, and completed an internship at Crew Gold Corporation, focusing on precious and platinum group metals. Alan holds an Msci in Geology from Royal Holloway, University of London and has foundational education in Geology and Earth Science.
