Grant Manager at Schultz Family Foundation

As the grant manager at the Schultz Family Foundation, Michelle manages the flow of grants through the grant lifecycle from concept through closeout, partnering closely with grantee partners and internal staff to ensure both positive experience and compliance.

Michelle joins the Foundation from GivingData, where she served as director of product management and worked directly with large and small private foundations to optimize their grant management processes and systems. Before GivingData, Michelle worked at The California Endowment, both in finance and program administration, managing their grantmaking budget and monitoring program compliance for as many as 1,400 grants totaling over $180 million annually. Michelle has also worked in the corporate finance departments at companies like Time Warner Cable, Johnson and Johnson, and Edwards Lifesciences.

Michelle has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of La Verne. She spends her free time volunteering with the National Kidney Donor Organization and lives in the Fremont area of Seattle with her family.
