Jonathan Levenshus serves as the Director of Federal Campaigns for the Energy Campaigns Unit at the Sierra Club since April 2013, where responsibilities include developing strategies to decarbonize various sectors. Levenshus has held multiple roles within the Beyond Coal Campaign, focusing on phasing out coal plants in the Southeastern U.S. and promoting renewable energy. Prior to working at the Sierra Club, Levenshus worked in the U.S. House of Representatives as Deputy Chief of Staff and Legislative Director for Representative Lois Capps, providing guidance on a wide range of issues including energy and environment policy. Levenshus holds a Bachelor’s Degree in History and Political Science from California State University, Long Beach.
