Laura E.

Laura E. is the Founder and CEO of Albalex, a compliance consultancy established in July 2023, focusing on regulatory and privacy compliance for clients in aerospace, technology, and e-commerce markets. Since 2017, Laura has served as General Counsel and Director at Skyrora Ltd, providing strategic legal consultation to the Board of Directors. Previous experience includes roles as Consultant General Counsel and Non-Executive Director at Edison Lex from January 2015 to March 2023, and General Counsel at Cupid plc from April 2011 to December 2014, where Laura built the in-house legal function and managed diverse legal issues across multiple international markets. Additionally, Laura founded MoonFire Media in 2007, offering web design and consultancy services, and worked as a Procurator Fiscal Depute, prosecuting at Sheriff and District court levels. Early legal training included a traineeship at Pinsent Masons, specializing in information law, intellectual property, and other practice areas. Laura holds a Diploma in Legal Practice from the University of Strathclyde and an LLB (Hons) from Glasgow Caledonian University.
