Smappee stands for Smart Appliance for Energy Efficiency. At the core of everything we do, we aim to facilitate energy efficiency in an innovative, easy, and fun way. Our cutting-edge technology empowers businesses and individuals to take control of their energy consumption, reduce costs, and contribute to a sustainable future. Our offering focuses on energy management solutions and electric vehicle charging. With a global reach and a dynamic, rapidly expanding team, we're driving innovation and sustainability to power a brighter future.
To accelerate our growth in the European enterprise segment, we’re looking for a strategic Business Development Manager – Corporate Accounts.
In this role, you’ll take the lead in building long-term relationships with corporate clients and headquarter-level stakeholders across Europe. Your focus will be on both proactive and reactive engagement with facility and fleet managers, guiding them through complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles and converting promising leads into impactful, long-term collaborations.
Reporting directly to our Chief Sales Officer, you’ll be instrumental in expanding Smappee’s footprint within large enterprise environments and embedding our smart energy solutions into their operational ecosystems.
Responsibilities
- You monitor industry trends and competitive developments, translating these insights into actionable commercial strategies that sharpen our enterprise value proposition.
- You proactively identify and engage with key decision-makers at HQ level such as facility, fleet, and procurement managers to explore organisational needs and position Smappee’s solutions as part of a strategic, long-term partnership.
- You generate and qualify corporate leads—whether inbound or outbound—to build a healthy, high-quality sales pipeline.
- You own and manage the full B2B sales cycle: from lead generation and qualification to solution selling, pricing, negotiation, and closing.
- You develop tailored proposals that align with customer needs and Smappee’s value proposition, combining technical insight with commercial creativity.
- You lead commercial negotiations with confidence, structure complex deals, and ensure the successful closing of strategic contracts.
- You develop and maintain strategic account plans, manage complex multi-stakeholder deal cycles, and coordinate cross-border activities to ensure a consistent, scalable corporate sales approach across Europe.
- You collaborate closely with local sales teams across Europe, stepping in when corporate opportunities require centralized ownership, extended follow-up, or cross-regional alignment to ensure deal progression.
- You ensure CRM accuracy, maintain pipeline visibility, and deliver reliable forecasting.
- You participate regularly in meetings at our headquarters in Harelbeke—particularly during onboarding and key strategic planning moments—to align closely with internal stakeholders and leadership.
