Job description

Founded in 2015, Smartcar is the leading developer platform for mobility businesses. We have raised $12 million in Seed and Series A funding from Andreessen Horowitz and NEA. All of our openings are remote within California.

From auto insurance to fleet management, businesses of all kinds use our APIs to verify vehicle mileage, issue digital car keys, manage EV charging, and track fleets. To name a few, the peer-to-peer car sharing marketplace Turo, the auto insurance provider Marshmallow, and the electric utility Green Mountain Energy use our platform to build and scale their mobility services.

By making it easy to connect to their customers’ vehicles, Smartcar allows these companies to focus on what’s important: building the future of mobility.

As Smartcar’s Customer Success Manager, you will have the opportunity to partner with our customers, understand their business needs, and help them achieve their goals with Smartcar. You’ll also be the voice of the customer internally and help prioritize Smartcar’s roadmap based on their needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own customer relationships across an assigned portfolio of customers from SMB to enterprise, develop a customer health scoring system, and proactively mitigate churn risk
  • Identify and partner with key customer stakeholders to develop comprehensive success plans and lead QBRs
  • Partner with Smartcar’s sales team to identify growth opportunities and to facilitate renewals and upsells
  • Evangelize Smartcar to everyone from engineers to executive leaders to help Smartcar acquire referenceable customers with case studies
  • Help define and develop the long-term Success Management playbook at Smartcar
  • Be the voice of the customer internally to translate feedback into product insights

Who You Are

  • 3-5 years of customer success experience at a SaaS company
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and managing customer relationships, including C-level executives
  • You enjoy working in ambiguous environments with a lot of autonomy and are highly self-motivated
  • Cross functional project/program management experience
  • You have a data-driven mindset
  • You have a sense of urgency and take action when customer usage needs improvement
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills
