Derek Benz has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Derek currently holds the position of Global Head of Sales Operations and Presales at Solifi since June 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Global Director of Sales Operations and Presales at Solifi from January 2019 to June 2022. Before joining Solifi, Derek worked at Stratasys as a Customer Advocacy Manager for the Southeast and Latin America regions from July 2017 to November 2018. Derek was responsible for managing customer growth and developing a VAR network. Earlier in their career, Derek held various roles at Oracle, including Regional SaaS Sales Manager, Sales Consultant, and Solution Consultant. Notably, they led a team of sales reps, trained consultants, and supported numerous sales cycles. Derek also has experience as the President of USA Mobile Drug Testing of St. Paul, where they built the company from the ground up and achieved consistent sales growth. Additionally, they owned Mystic Smarthomes, where they successfully built an automation company that catered to technologically advanced homeowners. Lastly, Derek had a role as a Developer at Mystic Developments LLC, where they developed luxury golf course properties and secured financing for projects.
Derek Benz completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Business at the University of St. Thomas from 1998 to 2002. Derek then pursued their Master of Business Administration with a focus on Finance at Washington University in St. Louis - Olin Business School from 2003 to 2005.
