Earlier in their career, Sameer worked at Jagran Solutions (A Unit of Jagran Prakashan Ltd) as a Senior Assistant General Manager. Sameer began their career in marketing at DB Corp Ltd. as the Manager of Marketing for the Sirohi - Jodhpur Unit.

Sameer Bhatnagar has a strong educational background in marketing and communication. Sameer attended Kendriya Vidyalaya from 1981 to 1993, where they completed their I - XIIth degree with a focus on commerce. Sameer continued their studies at Barkatullah Vishwavidyalaya from 1993 to 1996, earning a B.com degree in marketing. Sameer then pursued an MBA degree in marketing from Nagpur University, attending from 1996 to 1998. Most recently, they completed an Advanced Certificate in Digital Marketing & Communication from MICA | The School of Ideas in 2022-2023.
