Deanna R. Luneau is a graduate research assistant at the University at Albany, SUNY, where responsibilities include enhancing the accuracy of ICP-MS/MS methods for analyzing multiple elements in soft tissues and producing reference materials to support trace element analysis. As Judiciary Board Chair for the UAlbany Graduate Student Association, Deanna resolves internal conflicts and mediates disputes to promote an inclusive environment. Prior experience includes an internship as an analytical chemist at the New York State Department of Health, where instrument monitoring and solid matrix sample analysis were key tasks. Deanna also worked as a research assistant at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, utilizing HYSCORE spectroscopy for analyzing Photosystem II complexes, and contributed to research on Synechocystis mutations at Louisiana State University. Deanna holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and is currently pursuing a PhD in Environmental Health at the University at Albany.
