Michael Pirker

Michael Pirker is an experienced technology leader currently serving as the Manager of BVQ Professional Services at SVA System Vertrieb Alexander GmbH since July 2011. With extensive expertise in performance and capacity monitoring for IBM's storage products, particularly the IBM SAN Volume Controller (SVC) and Storwize series, Michael also took on the role of Chief Technology Strategist at SVA Software Inc. from March 2017 to August 2024. Prior to these positions, Michael held various roles at IBM Deutschland GmbH, including Sales Leader for SVC and Executive Briefer for Storage Virtualization. Early career experiences include Project Leader for Software Development at IBM Speichersysteme Mainz and Architect at IBM Speicherwerke Mainz. Michael holds a degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Fachhochschule Fulda, as well as additional education from the University of Stuttgart.
