Gregor Hartweger

Gregor Hartweger is an experienced information security professional currently serving as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and head of cybersecurity at SWARCO since February 2025. Previously, Gregor held the roles of CISO and Information Risk Manager at Rail Cargo Group from June 2021 to February 2025 and acted as CISO at Technische Universität Wien from October 2011 to May 2021, where responsibilities included overseeing information security for the institution. In addition to these positions, Gregor served as Head of the Department for the EDV-Labor for Architecture & Spatial Planning at Vienna Technical University and was Managing Director at Digiremote from July 2001 to December 2011. Educational qualifications include a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Universität für Weiterbildung Krems and a Dipl. Ing. in Architecture from the Vienna University of Technology.
