Otis Brawley

Otis Brawley is the Bloomberg Distinguished Professor at Johns Hopkins Medicine since January 2019, following a significant tenure as Chief Medical and Scientific Officer at the American Cancer Society from April 2007 to December 2018. Brawley also served as a Professor of Hematology, Oncology, Medicine, and Epidemiology at Emory University and directed the Georgia Cancer Center at Grady Health System during a concurrent appointment from April 2001 to April 2008. Brawley's academic credentials include a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the same institution, complemented by a fellowship in Medical Oncology at the National Cancer Institute and an internal medicine residency at Case Western Reserve University.
