Michael Garcia has over 19 years of work experience in the investment banking and wealth management industry. Michael is currently the Managing Director and Head of Transportation & Logistics Investment Banking at TD Securities since August 2022. Prior to that, they held the same role at Truist Securities from July 2019 to August 2022.
Before their roles in investment banking, Garcia worked at UBS Investment Bank for 14 years. Michael served as an Executive Director in the Global Industrials Group from March 2015 to December 2018, a Director from March 2012 to March 2015, an Associate Director from July 2008 to March 2012, and started their career as an Analyst in July 2005.
Garcia also gained experience in wealth management during their early career. Michael worked as a Summer Analyst at UBS Wealth Management in the Alternative Investments Group in 2004 and as a Summer Analyst at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management in 2003.
Michael Garcia holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Economics from Duke University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts (A.B.) degree in Computer Science from the same institution. Michael also acquired an International Baccalaureate (I.B.) Diploma Programme (D.P.) from Gulliver Preparatory School. Furthermore, Michael has certifications in Series 63 and Series 7 from Finra Corp.
