Kirk Talbott

Kirk Talbott is a seasoned information technology executive with extensive experience in public transit and municipal government. As Chief Information Officer for MARTA from September 2018 to November 2023, Talbott oversaw the technology portfolio for the eighth largest public transit agency in the United States. Prior to this role, Talbott served as Deputy CIO and Executive Director of Smart City for the City of Atlanta, focusing on technology strategy and implementation for citizen-facing departments. Talbott's career includes positions as CIO for Lake County, Capital Metro, and NCTD, as well as senior IT management roles at Western Digital and Cap Gemini / Ernst & Young. Talbott holds a BA in Computer Science and Spanish Linguistics from Rice University and studied Spanish Linguistics at La Universidad Catolica in Chile.
