Pete Craggs

Pete Craggs is a Pharmacology Expert at The Francis Crick Institute since September 2024, and previously held a UKRI Innovation scholars secondment role at the same institution from February 2021 to June 2024, focusing on a chemogenomic project related to the metabolism of pathogenic Mycobacteria. Prior to this, Pete Craggs worked at GSK from August 2001 to June 2024, serving as a Scientific Investigator and drug discovery program leader, with extensive supervisory experience. Early in the career at GSK, roles included Senior Assay Development Scientist and Screening Scientist, where responsibilities encompassed developing compound screening assays and carrying out high-throughput screening campaigns. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Enzymology from UCL, an MSc in Structural Molecular Biology from Birkbeck, University of London, and a BSc Hons in Biochemistry from Newcastle University.
