Gillian Canavan

Gillian Canavan has a diverse work experience in the art industry. Gillian started their career at the Peabody Essex Museum as a Registration Intern in 2011. Gillian then moved on to the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, where they worked as an Education Intern. In 2012, Gillian joined the Guggenheim Museum as a Curatorial Intern and later became a Freelance Writer for the museum. Since 2015, they have been working at Pace Gallery, initially as a Staff Writer, Research & Archives, then as an Editorial Manager, and currently as the Editorial Director.

Gillian Canavan obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Art from UMass Boston. Gillian then went on to earn a Master of Arts (MA) degree in History of Art from The Institute of Fine Arts, NYU.
