Steven Spencer

Steven Spencer, MD, MPH, MBA, currently serves as the Deputy Chief Health Officer at Cityblock Health, leading the population health team and overseeing care model implementation and performance optimization since October 2022. Additionally, Steven holds an adjunct professor position at Thomas Jefferson University starting August 2023. Previously, Steven was the Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at Onslow Memorial Hospital-UNC Health, where significant improvements were made to the hospital's CMS Stars rating and Leap Frog Score. Steven has also served as Associate Medical Director for the Delaware Valley Accountable Care Organization and Medical Director of Population Health at Abington - Jefferson Health. Academically, Steven earned an MBA in Health Care Administration from The Johns Hopkins University and an MPH from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, in addition to an MD from Brown Medical School and a BA in Biology from Brown University. Steven also holds a Masters Certificate in Health Informatics from Drexel University.
