Hassan Namarvar is a seasoned applied scientist with extensive experience in machine learning and data science, currently serving as Principal Applied Scientist at Twitch since July 2022. Hassan has previously held significant roles at Salesforce as Principal Machine Learning Engineer, Oracle as Senior Principal Data Scientist, eBay Inc. as Principal Applied Scientist, ShareThis as Principal Data Scientist, Connexity, Inc. as Principal Data Scientist, and Amazon as Data Mining Engineer. Notable achievements include architecting new systems for video intelligence and viewbot detection at Twitch, improving the recommendation system at Salesforce, and leading the development of the Accelerated Data Science SDK at Oracle. Hassan's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering and an M.S. in Biomedical Imaging and Telemedicine, both from the University of Southern California.
