Inmaculada (Inma) Hernandez is a Professor at UC San Diego since May 2021, and also serves as a National Academy of Medicine Fellow since August 2022. Previously, Inma held the position of Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh from August 2016 to April 2021, where Inma was responsible for leading a research team and developing a strong publication portfolio. Inma has experience as an Associate Editor for Health Affairs from December 2022 to December 2023 and has a research background managing Medicare insurance and medical claims data. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Health Services Research and Policy from the University of Pittsburgh, an international PharmD from the University of Navarra, and a Master of Science in Health Economics and Pharmacoeconomics from Universitat Pompeu Fabra.
