Chad DeChant is a Ph.D. student in Computer Science at Columbia University where he studies machine learning and does research in Professor Hod Lipson's Creative Machines Lab. He created and teaches a course at Columbia on the safety, ethics, and policy issues surrounding the development of artificial intelligence. He previously received an MA in Government studying international law and politics from Georgetown.
