Nancy Goroff

Nancy Goroff is retired from Stony Brook University, where she served as a Professor of Chemistry for over twenty years, including serving as Department Chair. She also served on the Steering Committee for the Alan Alda Center for Communicating Science. Nancy has an AB from Harvard University and PhD from UCLA, and her research probed the interface between organic chemistry and materials science, especially in the area of organic semi-conductors. In 2019, Nancy left Stony Brook to run for public office. Nancy is a cofounder of the Long Island Strong Schools Alliance, a nonprofit advocacy organization.
