Undergraduate Researcher at University of Alabama at Birmingham

Logan Cook is a Biomedical Engineering student at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, expected to graduate in 2025. Currently serving as a Biomedical Engineering Intern at the National Institutes of Health, Logan collaborates on a project between the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering and the National Institute of Mental Health since June 2024. Simultaneously, Logan works as an Undergraduate Researcher in UAB’s Neural Signal Processing and Modeling lab, focusing on updating MNE-HFO, an open-source Python repository for localizing seizure-onset zones in epileptic patients. Previous experience includes a Software Engineer Intern role at Parsons Corporation, where Logan updated documentation processes and provided software test procedures, as well as an Engineering Intern position at QTEC Aerospace, where software algorithms for satellite tracking and text recognition were developed and implemented.
