Rakesh Singh is an accomplished academic with extensive experience in food science and engineering. At The University of Georgia since July 2001, Rakesh Singh has served as both a professor and the head of a major food science department for 19 years. Prior to that, Rakesh Singh was a professor at Purdue University from July 1985 to June 2001, focusing on food processing and engineering research and teaching, particularly in aseptic processing, bioseparations, and process design. Rakesh Singh holds a Ph.D. in Food Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, obtained between 1978 and 1983.
