Akin Tatoglu

Akin Tatoglu has extensive experience in academia and industry, currently serving as Assistant Dean, Director of Engineering Graduate Programs, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor at the University of Hartford since August 2015. Prior to this, Akin held the position of Research Assistant at Stevens Institute of Technology from July 2010 to May 2015, contributing to robotics and sensor fusion for guidance, navigation, and control projects. Akin's industry experience includes serving as Project Manager at Underwater Systems Inc., where responsibilities involved innovative underwater engineering, and as Chief Technical Officer and Partner at Obsidian Research & Develop, focusing on intellectual property and various technological developments. Earlier professional experience includes a role as Software Team Leader at Tumer Engineering. Akin holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology, a Master's in Computer Science from Gazi University, and a Bachelor's in Computer Engineering from Baskent University.
