Noora Simola

Noora Simola currently serves as the Sustainability Manager for Raw Materials and Supply Chain Sustainability at UPM - The Biofore Company, starting in November 2023. Prior to this role, Noora held positions as a Climate and Forestry Expert at Food and Forest Development Finland from May 2018 to November 2023, and as a Liaison Officer/ Climate Expert at the FAO's Forest and Farm Facility during the same period. Additional experience includes serving as an Advisor for Training Development and Carbon Accounting at the University of Helsinki, and Development Manager at Felm (Suomen Lähetysseura). Noora's earlier career involved a trainee position at FSC Finland and roles in finance and project management with various organizations. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Forestry from the University of Helsinki, a Specific Qualification in Leadership and Management from Helsinki Business College Oy, and a Master's Degree in Latin American Studies from Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
