Jake Cannon is an experienced Assistant Video Editor who has worked at Uppercut, Nomad Editing Company, Inc, and Northern Lights. Jake has also served as an Editing Intern at Public Record, Contract Video Editor at SportsGuru Inc, Intern - Film Editor/Director at Volvo Group, Production Assistant at Disney ABC Television Group and CBS Corporation, and Production Intern at CBS Corporation. Jake holds a Bachelor's degree in Film and Television Arts from Elon University and has pursued additional education in film from The New School, School of Visual Arts, and Academy of Performing Arts in Prague.

Focused on telling stories that blur the lines between advertising and entertainment, this collective of passionate editors, visual effects artists and producers are driven by dynamic, visual storytelling. Partnering with directors, agencies and brands, the company’s work elicits emotion and impacts audiences. Uppercut launched in New York City in 2015 and has continued to grow its boutique post-production offerings, building out a roster of diverse creative talent as well as expanding its offerings into VFX and launching its partner music company, Racket Club.
