Miriam Leibowitz

Miriam Leibowitz is an experienced professional with a diverse background in community engagement, outreach, and program management. Currently serving as the Commute Concierge Manager at Vanderbilt University since April 2022, previous roles include Community Outreach & Engagement Specialist at WeGo Public Transit and Reproductive Freedom Organizer at the American Civil Liberties Union of Tennessee. Miriam has also held various positions in food access initiatives, having coordinated the Healthy Corner Store Initiative and Re/Storing Nashville programs aimed at improving healthy food availability in underserved neighborhoods. Early career experiences include roles at Jewish Federation of Nashville and Middle Tennessee, where significant fundraising and community programming successes were achieved. Miriam holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brandeis University with a focus on Islamic & Middle Eastern Studies, Studio Fine Arts, and Peace & Conflict Studies.
