Ron Schrimpf is a Professor and Faculty Head of House at Vanderbilt University, where also serves as Director of the Vanderbilt University Institute for Space and Defense Electronics. In addition, Ron Schrimpf holds the position of President of the IEEE Nuclear and Plasma Sciences Society. Prior to these roles, Ron Schrimpf was a Professor at the University of Arizona in Tucson. An academic career is supported by a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Minnesota, earned between 1977 and 1986.
