The Role

As the VP, Delivery Operations you will take full responsibility for the global service delivery function: creating and implementing the strategy for how customers interact with Vertice. This is a pivotal position within our Customer function, where you will focus on driving operational excellence, delivering on strategic initiatives and improving delivery performance for our customers. You will oversee our global teams to effectively negotiate SaaS contracts on behalf of our customers to drive cost efficiencies.  You will be responsible for delivering outstanding services to our global customer base, optimizing their SaaS procurement processes, and driving financial efficiencies across their software spend.

Responsibilities

  • Strategy Ownership: Develop and implement strategic initiatives that enhance the delivery of Vertice services, putting in place the systems, processes and metrics that ensure we are the leading negotiation service in SaaS procurement.
  • Global Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing, multi-layered global team (UK, US, Australia), fostering a culture of continuous improvement, operational discipline, and professional growth. This will include refining our recruitment strategy to balance operational excellence with top-tier customer service. 
  • Executive Engagement: Direct or support complex service engagements, managing key customer or vendor relationships as an executive sponsor.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: you will advocate for your team and customers to the wider business (including CS, Product and Leadership), effectively representing the goals and objectives of the delivery function.

Requirements

  • You’re an inspiring operational leader with a track record of building and managing multi-layered, diverse global teams in a demanding, fast-paced service delivery or professional services environment.
  • You’ll have extensive experience in delivering customer-centric services, ideally in a client-facing role within a professional services or service delivery leadership position.
  • Your relationship management and negotiation skills are excellent, and can demonstrate handling complex, high-value customer and supplier engagements.
  • You have a strategic mindset with a hands-on approach; you lead by example and maintain a proactive involvement in operational activities.
  • You’re a culture driver who champions accountability; you are personally willing to commit to service-level targets and deadlines, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to delivering value for both the business and customers.
  • Passionate about customer success, with a history of delivering world-class services in dynamic, high-energy environments.
