The Human Resources Intern is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with the Human Resources team.  This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: talent, training, benefits, employee relations, HRIS management and compliance.  The purpose of the Human Resources Internship is to identify and help promising college students by providing real-world experience in the Human Resources discipline.  The Human Resources Intern will gain valuable experience while supporting the Human Resource department’s function.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports the company’s internship program by organizing and participating in lunch and learn events and intern social activities.  Manages the completion of periodic mentor and intern feedback and evaluations and successful completion of internship pathway.  Coordinates interns’ final presentations.  Provides support to interns to ensure a successful internship experience.  Contributions to the overall enhancement of the internship program.
  • Supports ongoing efforts to enhance the candidate and employee experiences.
  • Assists with projects and programs of a diverse scope relating to HR functions.
  • Conducts research on policies and compliance.
  • Supports learning and development initiatives.
  • Assists with recruitment and retention.
  • Assists with record-keeping and auditing.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree preferably in human resources management, labor and industrial relations, or a related discipline.
  • Completion of Sophomore year from an accredited university.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality related to sensitive company and employee information.
