LACY CARUTHERS is a director at Google.org, where she oversees over $150 million in annual giving and leads the company’s efforts to harness the talent of more than 130,000 employees globally for social impact. She joined Google in 2006 as one of the founding members of the Energy and Sustainability team where she led a broad range of strategic sustainability initiatives, including the development of Google’s renewable energy investment program, which has committed over $4 billion to clean energy projects. Prior to joining Google, she worked on corporate sustainability issues in the UK. She holds a BS in earth systems from Stanford University, and an MSc with Distinction in environmental policy and economics from the London School of Economics.
