Mark King

Mark King, Ed.D, currently serves as Vice President of Education and Chief Education Officer at Arts for Learning Maryland since September 2023, and also holds the position of Certified Associate Diversity Coach at CoachDiversity Institute as of December 2023. Prior experience includes roles as Instructional Lead Executive Director at Baltimore City Public Schools, overseeing 11 K-8 schools, and Chief Executive Officer at The School Turnaround Group. Previously, Mark held significant positions within District of Columbia Public Schools, including Deputy Chief of School Operations and Programs and Instructional Superintendent. Mark's foundation in school leadership began as Principal at Dr. Henry A. Wise High School and James Madison Middle School, both recognized for their academic achievements under Mark’s leadership. Mark holds a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Bowie State University and a Master's in Education from Florida A&M University.
