Ophthalmic Technician
The ophthalmic technician position is one where you get to work directly with patients and often with the physicians in delivering care to our patients. Our technicians report high levels of satisfaction with their roles because they get to help save people’s sight each day. The days can be long due to our routine regional travel schedule, but we find the results we get to be well worth the effort.
Our ophthalmic technicians gather information from patients, take images, notate information into patient charts, and help set up for exams and treatments - and much more. Great job for those interested in veterinary technician, medical assistant, behavioral technician, phlebotomist, radiology technician, and more. We will train the right candidates.
Prolonged sitting up to 4 hours a day; stand and walk; talk and hear both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle and feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms. Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 25 pounds on occasion. Specific vision abilities required by this job includes viewing multiple computer screens, close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
