Miguel Santo Domingo Martínez

Miguel Santo Domingo Martínez is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory since April 2023, focusing on plant biotechnology and genomic mechanisms related to fruit ripening, particularly in melons. Previously, Miguel was a PhD candidate at the Centre de from April 2018 to January 2023, researching traits improvement and postharvest treatments in melons. Miguel’s experience includes guest PhD student positions at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Plant Physiology and the Institute of Integrative Systems Biology, where metabolic profiling and bioinformatic analyses of gene expression data were conducted. Earlier academic pursuits included Master’s theses at the Institute of Agricultural Sciences - CSIC and Universität Zürich, centered on heavy metal tolerance in legume plants. Miguel's educational background encompasses a PhD in Plant Biotechnology from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, a Master’s in Industrial and Environmental Biotechnology from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, and a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
