Alison Laporte-Oshiro

Alison Laporte-Oshiro serves as a Term Member at the Council on Foreign Relations since June 2023. With extensive experience in national security and emerging technologies, Alison currently holds the position of Senior Manager in Emerging Technology at Amazon Web Services (AWS), following a role as Manager of AI/ML Programs. Prior professional experience includes serving as Solution Manager at IBM Watson, an Action Officer/Rosenthal Fellow in the United States Department of Defense, and Program Assistant for a contract involving the U.S. Institute of Peace. Earlier career involvement featured a position as Information & Communications Officer with Save the Children Philippines. Educational qualifications include an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management, an MPA from Harvard Kennedy School, and a Bachelor’s degree in Public and International Affairs from Princeton University.
