Michael Flanagan

Michael Flanagan is an experienced engineering professional specializing in process development and manufacturing in the medical diagnostics and biotechnology sectors. Currently serving as Process Engineering Manager at Hyalex Orthopaedics Inc. since January 2021, Michael focuses on scaling up processes for synthetic cartilage production. Prior roles include Engineer & Manager at ANDE, where process improvements led to a fourfold increase in gel manufacturing capacity, and Director of Manufacturing Engineering at Medica Corp., managing engineering teams to enhance product quality. Michael's extensive background encompasses leadership positions at Covidien, Aspect Medical Systems, IQuum, Instrumentation Laboratory, Bayer Diagnostics, and Ciba Corning/Chiron Diagnostics, contributing to the development and transition of manufacturing processes, project management, and facility design.
