We are looking to add an experienced Director, FP&A to our team in Vancouver, BC. Reporting to the VP Finance, this role is responsible for financial planning, data analysis, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. This role will oversee the FP&A team and play a critical role in partnering with key business leaders.   

Job Responsibilities:

  • Leads financial reporting function by empowering executive leadership team and company with overall strategy development and decision-making through data, metrics, modeling, and insights.
  • Partners with key stakeholders, including the executive team and directors across multiple functions, to understand key operational drivers and optimize financial performance.
  • Develops and maintains complex financial models that can be readily adapted to support internal and external stakeholders, with a deep understanding of financial metrics.
  • Supports preparation of Board materials and other key deliverables, including quarterly forecasting, annual budgeting, and long-range planning.
  • Owns production of Monthly Management results package and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress towards strategic goals.
  • Drives continuous improvement of revenue forecasting process by developing a streamlined process to pull data from various sources, and by incorporating new ways of approaching forecast in fast-paced environment.
  • Leads analysis and reporting of gross margins by product, labour planning, sales commissions, and EBITDA improvement initiatives.
  • Coaches and mentors team with an inclusive, values-driven leadership style to foster a high-performance environment, empowering team to deliver high quality work through process alignment, feedback, and development.

Qualifications:

  • An experienced and results-driven financial leader with 10+ years of experience (including 3+ years in a management role).
  • Strong SaaS and Hardware experience in high-growth environments, with strong knowledge of revenue recognition in this industry.
  • Advanced modelling skills, with a focus on accuracy and clear structure.
  • Extensive knowledge of finance/accounting systems and experience with database and reporting system implementations.
  • Experience with mentoring and empowering direct reports with their career goals and aspirations.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to convey insights through visual charts and key metrics.
  • Experience in transactions such as M&A and due diligence would be beneficial.
  • A CPA or CFA designation is required.
  • Health & safety conscious individual.
  • Legally able to work in Canada.
