Ofir Sharony

Ofir Sharony is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in engineering and development. Currently serving as Director of Platform Engineering at MyHeritage since February 2013, Ofir manages three teams: Backend Infrastructure, Data Platform, and the core Matching team. Previous roles at MyHeritage include R&D Manager, where Ofir refined Agile methodologies across 15 teams, and Back-End Team Lead, where Ofir facilitated superior developer experiences for over 100 engineers. Ofir's earlier experience includes senior positions at Motorola Solutions, developing embedded public safety systems, and a foundational role at Mamram in the Israel Defense Forces as a .Net Developer and Architecture Designer. Ofir holds a Bachelor's degree with distinctions in Computer Science and Business Administration from the Open University.
