Erick Turner

Erick Turner is a distinguished psychiatrist and educator with extensive experience in both clinical practice and academia. Currently serving as a psychiatrist at Cascadia Health since February 2024, Turner has also held significant roles at Oregon Health & Science University since March 2001, including Professor in the Department of Psychiatry, Senior Scholar at the Center for Ethics in Health Care, and Associate Professor in both the Departments of Psychiatry and Pharmacology. Previously, Turner provided medication management for veterans at the Portland Veterans Affairs Medical Center and worked as a Medical Officer at the FDA, reviewing psychotropic drug applications. Turner's research at the National Institute of Mental Health focused on seasonal affective disorder, rapid-cycling bipolar disorder, and circadian rhythms. Turner holds an M.D. from the Oregon Health and Science University School of Medicine and has a diverse educational background including a B.A. from Duke University and studies in Nordic languages at Stockholm University.
