Jr. Accountant

Our family-owned company has been servicing the lower mainland for over 85 years with exceptional Roofing and Solar products and services.

The candidate will be part of a dynamic team that is collectively responsible for a variety of accounting duties. Working under moderate supervision, the accountant is responsible for project reporting, account reconciliation, complex transactions, systems implementation, and assisting director of finance with supporting the accounting department.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Project profit and loss reporting

• Account reconciliation

• Posting complex transactions

• Credit card transactions and reconciliation

• Assist with systems implementation

• Must report to the supervisor or employer any unsafe act or behaviour

• Other duties, as assigned

An Ideal Candidate Would Have:

• Accounting Degree or Diploma
• 2 years relevant work experience
• Strong English speaking and writing skills
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
• Effective problem solver
• Experience using accounting software (Sage)
• Proficiency with Excel worksheets
