Eugene joined SoftBank Ventures in January 2015 and has been actively investing in start-ups in the deep technology and gaming sectors. Eugene aims to foster robust teams that will build sustainable companies and have the ability to add to their unique value over time, even after investors exit. He believes this will not only make investors more credible in the long run but also support a virtuous cycle for the industry as a whole. Before joining SoftBank Ventures, Eugene worked with Enswers, which is now part of Gracenote under Nielson. He served as an in-house legal counsel, engaging in mergers and acquisitions and restructuring. He is an active lawyer in California and holds a JD degree from Santa Clara University, located in the tech hub of Silicon Valley, and a BA from the University of Michigan.
