Alex Alberstadt is a seasoned attorney with extensive experience in the regulation of mutual funds and private investment companies, including aspects of structure, creation, corporate governance, and compliance. Currently serving as Counsel at Seward & Kissel LLP since November 2021, Alex has held various prominent roles including Partner at Practus, LLP, and Perkins Coie LLP, as well as Special Counsel and Attorney in the Financial Services Group at Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP. Prior judicial experience includes a clerkship for Hon. Charles L. Levin at the Michigan Supreme Court. Alex holds an LLM in Taxation from New York University School of Law and a JD, summa cum laude, from Michigan State University College of Law, alongside a BA in Philosophy and the History of Mathematics from St. John's College. In addition to legal practice, Alex is committed to pro bono work, particularly in providing legal services for uncontested divorces and assisting start-up non-profits.
