Lauren Scheg

Lauren Scheg is an Optical Engineer with extensive experience in optical simulation and education. Currently employed at SimuTech Group since April 2023, Lauren leads consulting projects and delivers training sessions on Ansys Optics tools. Previous roles include Optical Engineer at Optikos Corporation and Research Assistant at the University of Rochester Medical Center and the Institute of Optics, where responsibilities involved conducting research on photonic chips and leading workshops to enhance student learning. Additionally, Lauren interned at General Atomics, developing code for optical engineering applications. Lauren holds a Master’s degree in Optical Engineering from the University of Rochester, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in the same field.
