Elaine Spottswood is a Miami-based designer, founder and principal of Spottswood Interiors. Her work consists of residential, hospitality and commercial spaces. Elaine began her career at a young age in hospitality and design working with her father for the family business, Spottswood Companies. Elaine has worked in design firms in both Miami and New York.
Elaine believes that stimulating sensory perceptions is a key component in designing a space. It is imperative to appeal not only visually, but also with sound, smell, touch and imagination to create a truly unique experience. Playing with materials, textures, colors, shapes and architectural elements are all a part of the design process. Elaine combines this approach with the unique and individualized vision of each client. One of her strengths is her design aesthetic versatility, catering to client wishes and the demands of a specific project. Elaine’s hands-on approach will ensure a beautiful and custom design aesthetic that will be delivered on time and within budget.
