Goncalo Martins

Teaching Associate Professor at University of Denver

Goncalo Martins is an accomplished academic and researcher with extensive experience in the fields of mechatronics, robotics, and electrical engineering. Serving as a Teaching Associate Professor and previously as a Teaching Assistant Professor at the University of Denver since September 2015, Goncalo has contributed significantly to education and research. Prior to this, Goncalo worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Vanderbilt University from March 2014 to August 2015 and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at the University of Denver between 2009 and 2013, specializing in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering. Additional experience includes an internship at XMOS Semiconductor Ltd in 2011 and a role as a Research Engineer at CA3, where Goncalo was involved in the MODI project for Mars Lander payloads from September 2006 to March 2008. Goncalo holds a Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Universidade Nova de Lisboa, awarded in 2007.
