Guoping Huang

Guoping Huang currently serves as an Associate Professor at the University of Southern California since August 2022 and as the Director of the Spatial Analysis Lab at the University of Richmond since August 2020. With extensive experience in landscape planning, Guoping Huang has held the position of Senior Landscape Planner at Dobbin International Inc since June 2009. Previously, Guoping Huang was the Graduate Program Director and Assistant Professor at the University of Virginia from August 2011 to August 2019. Early career roles include Research Associate at the Harvard Center for Geographic Analysis and Instructor at Harvard University Extension School from 2006 to 2011, along with serving as Landscape Planner & Asia Pacific Director at LANDD International LLC from 2006 to 2008. Guoping Huang's expertise in landscape design originated at Turenscape Design and Planning Institute in Beijing from 1999 to 2002. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Design in Landscape Planning from Harvard University Graduate School of Design and a Master of Science in Landscape Planning and Design from Peking University.
