Thomas Vogt has a diverse work experience in the field of research and academia. Thomas started their career at the Institue Laue-Langevin as a Scientist in 1988 and worked there until 1992. Thomas then joined the Brookhaven National Laboratory as the Head of Materials Synthesis & Characterization, where they worked from 1992 to 2005. In 2005, they joined the University of South Carolina as the Associate VP for Research, NanoCenter Director, and Professor. Thomas continues to work in this position, overseeing research activities and teaching in the field of nanotechnology.
From 1985 to 1987, Thomas Vogt attended the University of Tübingen, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Inorganic Chemistry.
