Emma Compton-Daw

Emma Compton-Daw serves as the Researcher Development Manager (Staff) and Institutional Researcher Development Concordat Champion at the University of Strathclyde, where responsibilities include advancing staff Researcher and Supervisor Development portfolios to foster an inclusive Research Culture. With a strong focus on early career researchers, Emma leads the development of various academic and professional development programs, collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, and contributes to national research staff policy discussions through various committees and panels. Emma's extensive background in research includes previous roles at the University of St Andrews and the University of Dundee, as well as education in Biochemistry, coaching, and teaching. Emma’s work has received recognition through initiatives such as the EU HR Excellence in Research Award.
