Josh Lipsky

Josh Lipsky is an accomplished professional in international economics and diplomacy, currently serving as Chair of International Economics and Senior Director of the GeoEconomics Center at the Atlantic Council since March 2020. Lipsky also holds a Fellowship with the Economic Diplomacy Initiative at Harvard's Belfer Center and is a Term Member at the Council on Foreign Relations. Previous roles include Speechwriter and Advisor to Christine Lagarde at the International Monetary Fund, Special Advisor to the Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy at the U.S. Department of State, and Associate Director of Press Advance at The White House. Educational credentials include a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center, a Master of Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School, and a Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University.
